Description

Claremont Hall, located at 30 Belmont Street, is a mid-19th century building constructed of ashlar with a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and features a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The front has raised dies at the centre and at the corners, with Tuscan pilasters at the angles framing the central bay. The façade includes five ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance door is topped by an oblong fanlight and is set within a porch supported by square-sectioned Tuscan columns, which frame two Ionic columns, complete with a full entablature and blocking course.
