Description

Commerce House, located at 112 Fitzwilliam Street, is a mid-19th century building constructed from ashlar with a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and features a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course adorned with three pediment-shaped acroteria. The façade includes three sash windows set in moulded surrounds. On the ground floor, there are two bays: one is oblong, and the other is canted, both supported by Tuscan piers leading to an entablature and blocking course. The entrance is marked by a Tuscan porch that has an entablature and blocking course, with the front slightly projecting and supported by pilasters applied to the columns.
