Description

14 Elmwood Avenue is a mid-19th century building constructed from ashlar stone. It features a hipped stone slate roof and stands two storeys tall. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and a decorative band. There are three ranges of sash windows. The entrance door is set within a porch supported by Tuscan columns, topped with a full entablature and a blocking course. Additionally, there is a wooden conservatory at the east end, which is canted and has diamond faceted panelling up to dado level, with glazing above that includes art nouveau stained glass. A pediment on consoles is situated above the door of the conservatory.
