Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house located in Lower Clough, Linthwaite. The house is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof, featuring three stone brackets to the gutter and a coped gable to the east. It is two storeys and has a basement.

The south elevation has, on the ground floor, an entrance with a stone surround, and one four-light stone mullioned window. The first floor has two three-light stone mullioned windows, one of which has a single light blocked. The north elevation features a single light on the ground floor and, on the first floor, one two-light stone mullioned window and one former three-light stone mullioned window with one light blocked. Basement level lean-to extensions are present, with an entrance framed by stone surrounds located between them. The east gable has a single light to the first floor.
