Description
This is an early 19th-century terrace of five houses, located on Manchester Road in Linthwaite. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof and coped gables resting on moulded footstones. The buildings are three storeys high, with the ground floor level with the surrounding earth.
The south-east elevation features a single three-light stone mullioned window, and various blocked openings are visible. The north-west elevation has five entrances with stone surrounds at ground floor level. The windows above are mullioned: three are four-light, two are three-light. On the first floor are a single five-light window (one light is blocked), four four-light windows, a two-light window, and a single light window. The second floor mirrors the first floor in window arrangement.
