Description
Black Rock House is a mid-19th century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof. It features a large stack at each gable and has moulded stone brackets supporting the gutter, along with coped gables. The house is three storeys tall, with a symmetrical west elevation comprising three bays.
On the ground floor, there is a central doorway flanked by simple squared pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, leading to a panelled door with a fanlight above. This is accompanied by two large 2-light stone mullioned windows. The first floor contains three 2-light stone mullioned windows, while the second floor has three 4-light stone mullioned windows. The south gable includes later windows that have been added.
