Mid C19. Hammer dressed stone. Ashlar dressings. Pitched slate roof. Coped gables: iron finials. One storey and attic. Complex plan with many gables. Windows mainly either mullion and transom crosses, or mullioned with Caernarvon lintels. Doors either two or four-centres, moulded surrounds, hoodmoulds. Some cusped oculi. Buttresses. Dominant feature is tower over Boys' entrance: four storeys: strings set-off: clocks on second floor: machicolated cornice: timber third floor with studs and diagonal planking: very steep pyramidal roof, sprocketed.
