Description
Oakley House is a mid-19th century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. It features a pitched slate roof adorned with ornamental cresting and coped gables. The house has two storeys and attics, with a battened plinth and strings. Its irregular plan includes buttresses at the corners. The windows are casements with flat ashlar lintels and shallow two-centred chamfered relieving arches. The entrance consists of planked doors set in a moulded two-centred arch with a hoodmould. The garden front showcases a shallow oblong two-storey bay topped with a hipped roof covered in fish-scale tiles, contributing to its picturesque composition. The building has minimal carving.
