Description

Ivedene is a mid-19th century building located on New North Road, Highfield. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a pitched slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with two gables that have elaborate cast iron finials. The right-hand gable includes a two-storey canted bay, and its parapet is decorated with quatrefoils. The ground floor has segment-headed sash windows, while the first floor features Caernarvon-arched sashes, and the second floor has cusped sashes with hoodmoulds. The entrance is marked by an elaborately sculpted porch that has segment-headed arches supported by polished granite columns, along with an intricate cast-iron balustrade.
