Description

The walls surrounding Oakes School, located along School Street, Oakes Road, and the Wellington Street side of the playground, date from the mid-19th century. These dwarf walls are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature coping. The gatepiers are made of ashlar and topped with conical caps. Additionally, there are cast iron railings adorned with decorative finials.
