Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE ROCHDALE ROAD SE 0422 and SE 0522 (east side, off) 15/200 Mill Chimney approximately 25 metres to north-east of junction with Lower Brock Well Lane - - II Mill chimney. Mid C19. Coursed squared stone. Square base with band. Shaft chamfered to rise as octagonal chimney approximately 15 metres high with top renewed in brick and iron banding. Presumably served the mill at Millhouses lower down the hillside to the south.
