Description

This is a mill chimney located approximately 25 metres northeast of the junction with Lower Brock Well Lane in Sowerby Bridge. It dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of coursed squared stone. The chimney has a square base with a band and features a shaft that is chamfered, rising as an octagonal chimney approximately 15 metres high. The top of the chimney has been renewed with brick and iron banding. It presumably served the mill at Millhouses, which is situated lower down the hillside to the south.
