Description
Unit One at Mill House Estate is a dye and acid store, now unoccupied industrial premises, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with a stone slate roof. The front facing the road is a single storey, while the rear rises to three storeys and consists of 16 bays. The roadside front features two wide doorways, small windows at the eaves, and additional windows that have been inserted. There is a loading door at the right end and gutter brackets on the table. At the rear, each bay on every floor has a small window with a stone cill and lintel, with some windows retaining their iron bars and multi-pane designs. This building is part of a mill complex and was noted to be in a state of disrepair at the time of resurvey.
