Stables And Coach House Approximately 10 Metres To North Of Coach House To North East Of Oats Royd House

The stables and coach house, located approximately 10 metres to the north of the coach house and to the north-east of Oats Royd House, date from the mid to late 19th century. They are constructed of rock-faced stone with a Welsh slate roof and consist of two storeys and three bays. The building features rusticated quoins with raised panels. The central bay is narrower and projects forward under a pediment, showcasing rusticated quoins and a segmental-arched window framed by an architrave. The left bay contains a door with a fanlight to the right of a segmental-arched window, both also framed in architraves. The right bay has a sliding double door with a fanlight and a round-arched surround, with quoins at the angles. Each bay has a keyed oculus on the first floor. The building is adorned with a table, modillion cornice, and a similar cornice on the pediment, along with a corniced stack to the left of the central bay. Inside, the left-hand bay features three stalls supported by twisted iron columns, with decorative iron panels on the partition walls and glazed tile end walls. This structure is included for its group value.
