Description
Garden walls and gates to Oats Royd House were built in the mid-19th century for John Murgatroyd. The walls are made of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a rubble wall with chamfered ashlar coping, reaching a maximum height of 2 metres and ramped at the corners. The wall surrounds the garden at Oats Royd House on all four sides. On the east side, there is a set back central gateway flanked by two square gate piers with panels and pedimented caps, along with a pair of wooden gates.
