Description
Tanks and enclosures located to the east of the reservoir at Oats Royd Mill were likely built around 1885 for John Murgatroyd and Sons, possibly for dyeing purposes. The structure features coursed squared stone and brick. There are three square tanks with a larger rectangular enclosure to the east, and two smaller rectangular tanks to the south, which were added later. The northern tanks and enclosure are made of stone with flat coping, while the southern pair is lined in brick. These tanks and enclosures are included for their group value.
