Description

This barn, located 5 metres to the west of Hill House, is possibly from the 17th century and features an inscribed stone dated 1666, which is likely reset. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. The barn includes square-headed cart entries with a simple chamfer and a mistal doorway with a segmental arched lintel that has a chamfered surround. The south gable is adorned with arched ventilators and inscribed spandrels at the apex. Additionally, there is a stone tablet that reads "ROBERT.AND TAMAR HALS TED 1666," which is framed by a scrolled surround and has a carved face beneath the first letter.
