Description

MELLING PRESCOT ROAD SD 40 SW (east side) 8/111 Barn to west of Melling House (q.v.) G.V. II Barn. Datestone inscribed. "TB/1660". Dressed stone with large quoins and stone slate roof. Coped gables. Segmental-headed cart entrances to north and south, that to north with datestone over. Ventilation slots. C19 outbuildings adjoin west end to north and south. C20 lean- to shelter to north side. Interior has collar and strut trusses with through purlins and some wind braces.
