Description
The Carters Arms Public House is a 19th-century building featuring scored stucco and a slate roof that is hipped on the right. It stands two storeys tall and has a five-sided bay on the left with three sash windows on each floor. To the right, there is a shallow rectangular bay with one sash window on each floor. The centre of the building has double panelled doors with a hood and a sash window above. All windows include glazing bars. There is a similar doorway further left in an added single-storey wing. The building has wide and low gable ends. The Carters Arms is part of a loosely scattered group of listed items in Glovers Brow, South Park Road, North Park Road, and Mill Lane, which together maintain a village centre character.
