Description
The Railway Public House and Langtree Cottage, built around 1860, feature painted brick with stone quoins and stone mullioned and transomed windows. The building has a slate roof with a red tiled serrated ridge and a segmental arched doorway. The ground floor windows consist of four and six lights, while there are four upper windows in gabled half-dormers with bargeboards. Langtree Cottage, which adjoins to the left, is a two-storey brick private house with a central doorway that has pilaster jambs and a plain fanlight within a doorcase of Tuscan pilasters and cornice. It also has two segmental-headed windows on each floor with brick arches and keystones, along with wood eaves and cornice. The listed buildings in Glovers Brow, South Park Road, North Park Road, and Mill Lane form a loosely scattered group that maintains a village centre character.
