Description
Horsfall Farmhouse and the attached barn is a late 18th-century laithe house located on Horsfall Street in Todmorden. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and has quoins. On the left side, there is a doorway with tie-stones, and a large cart entry with a semi-circular arch, which has a Venetian window above it. The right end of the house has a single cell with a stepped three-light window, and there is a similar window above it. Attached to the right end is a single-storey building that also has quoins, a stepped three-light window, and a dressed stack that was originally the kitchen. The left return wall of the barn features square-headed ventilators and an arch-headed light with a columbarium above, which has a circular owlhole at the apex. The right gable has a doorway at first-floor level, accessible from the bank.
