Description
Horseshoe Farmhouse and barn is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with later alterations. It is built of coursed rubble gritstone, mostly covered in cement render, and features a stone slate roof with two stone ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and includes a cross wing at the south end.
On the east elevation, the ground floor of the gabled cross wing has a 3-light 19th-century window. Above it is a 3-light recessed chamfer mullion window. To the right, there is a 3-light square sectioned mullion window with a similar window above. A doorway with plain stone jambs and a lintel is also present. To the right of this doorway, there is a 19th-century window with a 2-light square section mullion window above. Another similar window is located to the right, with a doorway below that has plain stone jambs and a lintel. Both doorways feature raised and fielded six-panel doors. An attached barn is located to the north under a continuous roof.
