Milestone mid C19. Single arch headed stone overlaid with cast-iron having 2 projecting faces with raised capitals. Top reads: 'ELLAND & BRIGHOUSE ROAD SOUTHOWRAM' Left face: 'ELLAND 1¾ MILES'. Right face: 'WAKEFIELD 14¾ MILES DEWSBURY 9 MILES'. Also has makers name of Brayshaw and Sons of Liversedge.
