Description
Cromwell Lock and Bridge, located on the Calder and Hebble Navigation, is a massive stone lock built in the late 18th century. It features rebates for lock gates and is accompanied by a stone bridge that has a dressed stone pediment and columnar piers on either side. The central section of the bridge has been renewed in steel and bears a plaque that reads 'LEEDS.STEEL.WORKS.LTD. BUILDERS 1895'.
