Description
Ash Grove is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Elland Road in Brighouse. The house is constructed of stuccoed walling with a slate roof. Originally, it was designed with three symmetrical bays and a hipped roof. A two-storey bay was later attached to the left-hand end, with alterations to the roof to create a hip over that bay. A band, cornice, and stone gutter detail the exterior. The doorway is flanked by pilasters and protected by a porch featuring Tuscan columns, an entablature, and a cornice. Windows have plain stone surrounds and 12-pane sashes, one in each bay. Two stacks are located on the ridge.
