Description
The Lock Keepers House, located on the south side of Elland Lock, is an early 19th-century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. This single-storey structure features three bays, with the outer bays having square-headed windows that include projecting sills. The central bay projects forward and has three angled faces. The central doorway is framed by large angled monolithic jambs, which also serve as window jambs on either side. The roof over this bay is tripartite, featuring hipped gables and two stacks that divide the bays. To the right, there is a lean-to with a cat-slide roof and a doorway that also has monolithic jambs.
