Description

A public house dating from the late 18th century, located in Elland Lane, Elland. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The original central range is largely unaltered, with extensions to both ends not included as part of the listing. The ground floor features 3-light and two 2-light mullioned windows, with a late 20th century lean-to porch to the front. The first floor has two 3-light windows and a centrally placed 5-light window, all retaining their original thin, flat-faced mullions, with heads at eaves level. A centrally placed stack rises from the ridge.
