Description

The forecourt wall and gate piers of Providence United Reformed Church date from around 1850. The structure features a dwarf stone wall surrounding the forecourt, although the railings have been removed. There are ashlar terminal piers and two pairs of gate piers, which are battered and panelled, standing on battered plinths. Each pier is topped with a heavy cornice-cap and a shaped blocking course.
