CALDER AND HEBBLE NAVIGATION 1. 5113 SIR JOHN RAMSDEN'S CANAL Cooper Bridge Lock SE 1720 13/291 II 2. 1774-80, but altered 1899 (dated kerbstone). Lock walls part hammer-dressed stone, part grey brick, kerbstones ashlar. Iron mooring hooks. 2 wooden lock gates. Bridge with S-shaped ramps, part C18 masonry, part C19 grey brick: flat iron span, presumably 1899.
