The building has two storeys, and the east elevation includes four-light flat-faced mullioned windows that still have their glazing bars. There is a tall ashlar stack on the left-hand gable. The cottage overlooks a canal. On the west side, there is a doorway with monolithic jambs and a six-panelled door. Attached at right angles is a single-storey gabled kitchen that includes a stack.
