Description

Whitfield Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and has a slate roof. The building features two bays and stands two storeys high, with quoins at the corners. The front has paired doors, one of which is now blocked, and a blocked 2-light window to the left, alongside a 1-light window to the right and some inserted first-floor windows. There is a lean-to addition on the right gable. The principal elevation is at the rear, which includes four 4-light flat-faced mullion windows and a small inserted window. A gable chimney stack is also present.
