Description
This is a row of eight cottages, now used as six separate dwellings, built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone with a roof of graduated stone slates. Each cottage has a double-depth plan, one bay wide and two storeys high. Each has a doorway with a square-cut surround, next to a three-light, flat-faced mullion window. Similar five or six-light windows are found on the first floor, although a total of five mullions are missing. A bay window was added to the right-hand side in the 19th century. There are nine chimney stacks along the ridge. The rear elevation has windows of a similar design, but with two and three lights.
