Description

The double lock at Shepley Bridge, part of the Calder and Hebble Navigation, dates from around 1776 and was engineered by John Smeaton. It features stone sides and copings, with some areas of brick repair. The structure includes three pairs of lock gates and is located at the junction with the River Calder.
