Description

Bee-boles for housing bee-hives are located within a wall 10 meters to the west of Higher House in Cragg Vale, Hebden Royd. These bee-boles likely date from around 1666 and are probably contemporary with the house. The structure is made of roughly dressed rubble and features a long row of 16 recesses, each with a monolithic lintel and composite jambs.
