Description

The bee boles, located 15 metres south west of Cowburn Beck Farmhouse, are likely from the late 18th century and are probably contemporary with the farmhouse. They consist of a coursed rubble wall featuring four square shallow recesses, each with monolithic lintels and sills designed to house bee-skips. These bee boles are included for their group value with the nearby farmhouse.
