Description
This building consists of a barn and an attached cottage located to the northeast of Hargreaves Head. The barn dates from the mid-17th century, while the cottage was added in the mid-18th century. A 19th-century carriage entrance has been added to the south side of the barn. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn is a single aisle construction with posts and queen strut roof trusses spanning four bays. The two-storey cottage has quoins on the left-hand gable and recently re-glazed sash windows that have been converted to casement style. This building is listed for its group value.
