Description
The Duke of York Public House is an early 19th-century public house built from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. It features a two-storey front that is divided into two equal halves. The left half serves as a house and is symmetrical, with a central doorway that has monolithic jambs and a 2-light flat faced mullioned window above. On either side of the doorway, there are flat faced mullioned windows with four lights and similar windows above them. The right half of the building is a barn, which includes a solid segmental arched cart entry, with later windows added above and to the left of the arch. The left side has a coped gable and two stacks at the ridge. Later buildings attached to the right end of the barn are not included in this listing.
