Description
This is a cottage and adjoining barn located to the north of Primrose Hill Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The cottage has a double-depth layout with two storeys and a barn to the left. Notable architectural details include quoins, a square-cut door surround for both the shippon and the house, and recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows, with four lights on the ground floor and six lights on the first floor. The building also has kneelers and a brick lean-to addition at the rear, which includes a six-light window on the first floor. This cottage is included in the listing for its group value with the adjacent farmhouse.
