Description
Paddock Nook is a house dated 1626, consisting of two main sections with an additional single-storey section added in the late 18th century. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone, which is whitewashed, and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high.
The south front has a continuous hoodmould at the ground floor, which includes double chamfered mullioned windows with two lights (fire-window), five lights, and four lights, although some mullions are missing. On the first floor, there are two chamfered mullioned windows, each with four lights, also lacking two mullions. The left-hand return wall contains an original doorway, with a lintel that displays the date set within a tressure, positioned to the right of a two-light chamfered mullioned window in the former rear aisle, which has been raised to two storeys and now features a flat roof. Attached to the right-hand return wall is the added single-storey cell, which has a wide gable and thin flat-faced mullioned windows with two lights.
