Description
Milner Fields Gardens is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a slightly later addition. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with dressed quoins and features stone slate roofs. The building is two storeys high and consists of two single cells that are double-depth.
The left cell has two-light, eight-paned sash windows with plain stone surrounds on each floor. It also has gutter brackets, a coped gable with kneelers, and a ridge stack. The right cell projects forward and has a higher roof, featuring three first-floor windows. The doorway has tie-stone jambs and an overlight, with a re-used datestone above inscribed with "I 0 M 0 1603". To the right of the door, there are two windows with architraves and eight-paned sashes, with three similar windows on the first floor. Both cells have coped gables with kneelers, and the right cell has a ridge stack. The rear of the right cell includes a stair-window with impost blocks and a keystone.
