Description

The Offices of the Borough Engineer (rear premises) is a mid to late 19th-century stone classical building located on Townhall Street East. It stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The ground storey is channelled and includes a corniced door and a wide plate glass window. The second floor has round-arched windows. A high bracketed cornice runs along the main roof, which is slated. The building has a long exposed north flank. It forms a group with all the listed buildings in Crossley Street.
