Description
Princess Buildings is a mid to late 19th-century classical stone corner building that stands three storeys tall. It features irregular window arrangements on the front and has six additional windows on the north side facing Crossley Street. The ground floor is rusticated and arcaded, while the first floor is adorned with engaged Corinthian columns and segmental pediments, including two oriel windows at the southern end of the front. The main entablature is highlighted by a balustrade with decorative elements at the corner and an enriched pediment above the pair of oriels. This building, along with the south extension of the White Swan Hotel and other listed buildings in the area, forms an important architectural group.
