House, initialled and dated "RH 1622 SH" which retains in part its front facade, recast when the rear and sides were rebuilt c.1800. Ashlar, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Remodelled to 2 cells with central doorway with ogee lintel and cornice over which is inscribed stone, renewed jambs. All are double chamfered mullioned windows with arched lights with sunken spandrels. 12-light mullioned and transomed window with hoodmould with cyma moulding and heart shaped stops; 5-light window. 1st floor has 4-light window either side of one of 2 lights. Gutter brackets. Coped gables with kneelers and well dressed stacks. The front exhibits fine quality masonry. Hammer dressed stone to rear with ashlar quoins, all are chamfered mullioned windows, 3-light window with same over to 1st floor with 2-light windows to either side. The building attached to south-west end (Rock Ville) is of no interest and is excluded from the item.
