Description
Weather Hill is a house dating from the early 17th century, with an early 19th-century addition. It is constructed of large dressed stone, with the addition featuring watershot stone, and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and a three-room front, with quoins at each division.
The first two bays have double chamfered mullioned windows on the ground floor and chamfered mullioned windows on the first floor; there is a four-light window with a three-light window above it. An inserted doorway with monolithic jambs leads to a single-storey porch added around 1984. There is also a five-light window with two two-light windows above it on the first floor, along with another doorway featuring monolithic jambs. Additionally, there is a four-light flat faced mullioned window with the same above it, and another doorway with monolithic jambs.
At the rear, there are five bays of two-light chamfered mullioned windows on the ground floor, one of which retains diamond-paned leaded lights. The first floor has six bays of two-light flat faced mullioned windows. The house has two stacks on the ridge and one other capped stack. Notably, reused stone at the rear corner of the 19th-century addition is inscribed with "A H" and the year 1605.
