Description
Otter Lee is a house that incorporates a barn, which has been converted into a single residence. The barn dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century, while the house was built in the early 19th century, with alterations made around 1970. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone, with the house featuring larger stone blocks and a stone slate roof.
The house is two storeys high and has two bays, while the barn has three bays. The house is positioned on the right side and has quoins on the right. A pent porch has been added to the left end, and there is a 20th-century glazed door at the right end. The house has two three-light flat-faced mullion windows on each floor and a central stack.
The barn features quoins and a central round-arched cart entry, which is quoined and has imposts and a keystone. Above this entry is a single-light window. On the right end of the barn, there is a mistal door with a window inserted to the left and above it. On the left side of the barn, there is an inserted three-light window on each floor, with the lower window obscuring traces of a former mistal doorway. To the right of the house, there is a lean-to that has been converted into a garage, which is not of special interest.
