Description

The archway in the south garden wall of numbers 18-20 on Brighouse Towngate in Hipperholme dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed from rubble stone with ashlar dressings. The archway features composite moulded jambs and a flat lintel, which is topped with carved finials believed to be from the same period as the house.
