Description
This milestone, dating from the mid-19th century, is located opposite the lodge to Toothill Hall. It consists of a single stone slab with an arched top, which is overlaid with cast iron and features two angled faces. The top of the milestone reads "BRADFORD & HUDDERSFIELD ROAD RASTRICK." The left face indicates "HUDDERSFIELD 3 MILES," while the right face shows "BRADFORD 8 MILES, BRIGHOUSE TOWN HALL 1 MILE." The milestone also bears the maker's mark of Brayshaw & Booth from Liversedge.
