Description

Haven is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, likely from the mid-1600s. It is constructed of coursed dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with quoins at the corners.

A board door from around 1985 is located in a gabled porch to the right of the original chamfered, quoined doorway, which is now blocked and has a window. To the left of this doorway is a three-light flat-faced mullion window, while there are no windows above. To the right of the porch, there is a plinth with two double-chamfered mullion windows, originally four-light but now two-light, along with a three-light and a two-light chamfered mullion window above. The roof features shaped kneelers and coping, with a corniced stack at the right end and a later stack to the right of the original door.

At the rear, there is a plinth with traces of a chamfered surround doorway on the right and a chamfered mullion window on the left. On the left side of the building, there is a three-light chamfered window on the ground floor, although the original mullions have been replaced with flat-faced ones. The right side has a small chamfered light on the ground floor to the right.

Inside, there is a chamfered, quoined doorway leading into the right-hand room, which features a low stone fireplace with a deep lintel.
