Description

Exchange Mill, also known as J. H. Cockroft's, is a mill warehouse built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The rear facade has five bays and a gable, rising to five storeys. The central bay contains loading doors stacked one above the other, with the upper door topped by a small Venetian window that is now blocked. The other bays have rectangular windows with plain reveals, heavy lintels, and projecting sills. Additionally, there is an eight bay return.
