Description

This barn, located 15 meters east of Frost Hole, dates from around 1830. It is constructed of watershot masonry and features a stone slate roof. The barn has basket arched cart entries supported by skewbacks and tie-stone jambs. Above these entries, there is a 2-light flat faced mullioned window with a projecting sill and a one-piece arch headed lintel that includes raised false keystones. On either side of the barn, there are mistal doorways with single light windows that also have projecting sills. The gables are coped and include kneelers, with a bullseye owl-hole at the apex.
