Description
Hollock Lee Bottom is a house dated 1712, constructed from large dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building features a two-room front double-pile layout. The ground floor has double chamfered mullioned windows, including a prominent 5-light window with a matching 5-light chamfered mullioned window above. An inserted doorway with monolithic jambs is present, and the housebody includes a 7-light window with a 6-light window above it. The doorway, which has composite jambs, is topped by a quoined lintel inscribed with "R S 1712" and "18 W. F. 90", and features a chamfered surround and quoins. The rear of the house has chamfered mullioned windows of 2 lights, 2 lights, and 6 lights, with a 4-light window above on the first floor. A central stack is located at the ridge, and the right-hand return wall has a blocked doorway with double tie-stone jambs and a 3-light chamfered mullioned window.
